Upper school – Years 10 and 11 curriculum
In accordance with the National Curriculum, the following subjects are compulsory/entitlements

** Most students take double subject GCSE in science.
Students complete their timetables with four further subjects. (five lessons/fortnight)
We currently offer:
- Personal and Social Development
- Child Development
- Physical Education
- Modern Foreign Languages (French, Spanish & German)
- Religious Studies
- Technology (Food, Resistant Materials or Textiles)
- Computer Science
It is also possible for a small number of students to follow other vocational courses. In general, the curriculum is designed to prevent early over-specialisation and to ensure that a wide range of educational, training and employment opportunities remain open to all students at 16+.
Years 10 & 11 ICT Courses
OCR Cambridge National in ICT. Cambridge Nationals is the new name of OCR Nationals. They were created in partnership and in consultation with students, teachers, education specialists and employers to ensure that they reflect the real world and prepare students for future study and the workplace.
Examinations Entry Policy
The school’s policy is to enter every student capable of achieving a grade G, or better, in the relevant GCSE examinations or equivalent.
