Red Robins Visit to the Shop and Church

post office 1Last week Red Robins walked around Litcham.

We visited the shop to buy ingredients for Bumble bear's birthday cake and bought a stamp to send Bumble cards we made. We searched the shelves for ingredients. Some children knew we would need to find a fridge to find the margarine because it needed to be kept cold. Rivva spotted her grandad’s favourite food, “peas in the green packet.” We read the word ‘jam’ on the jars and decided to buy raspberry jam.

Red Robins also visited the church where, with the help of Rev. Miriam, we saw stained glass windows and the font, discovering that babies and grown- ups have been baptised there. We found the pulpit was very high. We sat in the pews and found the kneelers made it much more comfortable than kneeling on the hard floor. We looked at the hymn books and Bible and spotted the organ. George enjoyed looking at the organ music. We even found an elephant!

It was so exciting after our trip to make a birthday cake and have a party for Bumble bear 5th birthday.
